197: Poor Old Man
TOWTSH has not been very well. At first, we (TOWTLH and me) thought it was a cold or ‘man-flu’ but after several days of complaining, TOWTSH took a test and found out he had COVID. I think he is actually suffering - he has a very severe (and very loud) cough and lacks his usual boisterous energy.
I can’t fault his loyalty to me, though. Every day he has taken me to the park and on 2 or 3 local walks.
Every morning, TOWTLH asks him how he is feeling and sometimes he appears positive. He never says he is ‘cured’ but he might say something like “I feel a little brighter”, as he shuffles to the kitchen. I think he’s is just telling TOWTLH what he thinks she wants to hear, trying to be positive. Noble of him, perhaps, but it might come back to haunt him when she realises all of his little improvements have come to nought.
I do wish him well. I don’t want his loyalty to me to hold back his recovery. I’m not even sure if I should be worrying. He is going to get better, isn’t he?
