188: Back Home
Well, an eventful week, for sure. I told you last week about the sudden journey, by car, to a place called C-houses.
That journey took place in awful weather - high winds and torrential rain. From snatches of conversation I could hear, it was clear that we were away from our beloved Earlswood Avenue (with its easy access to bus stops where bus passengers tend to drop crumbs… and more) for a week.
Here is my executive summary of the week.
Walks on the beach (too sandy)
Paddling in the sea (too wet)
Lots of takeaway food (too human-oriented)
Lots of reading (I can’t read)
Lots of chatting (I can’t chat)
Quite a bit of TV watching (boring!)
Increased consumption of alcohol (what’s the point?)
This may sound a little negative …BUT I did enjoy the change of environment, most of the walks, and some of the strange food they had and of which I was allowed a few morsels - food from all the world (or at least all over C-houses Main Street).
So, on balance a bit of an adventure with plus points.
As long as they don’t do it too often.
