113: My Chance To Shine

My beans do not like what they call ‘nuisance calls’ - telephone calls attempting to sell them things  or, worse, attempting to scam them out of money.

They have various strategies for coping. TOWTLH tends to simply put the phone down; TOWTSH tends to get angry and shout at the perpetrator.

Yesterday, they tried a new tactic.

Someone rang and was clearly trying to sell something - something they didn’t want.  After a few non-fruitful exchanges with TOWTLH, the caller asked to speak to whoever runs the house and makes the decisions.  Quick as a flash, TOWTLH said, “Just a minute, I’ll put the dog on” and made as if to pass me the phone.

The caller rang off!!
