133: What happened to Or-Tum?

What happened to Or-Tum?

I heard some dreadful words from TOWTSH the other day.

“Feels like winter” he said as he opened the door to take me for a walk.

We’ve just finished (evidently) what has been a very nice summer - if you are not a garden lawn, that is.

Its been warm, sunny and dry.  We could not have asked for more.

I was even  looking forward to Or-Tum.  A mis-remembered piece of poetry said something about ‘mists and mellow fruitfulness:” (whatever that means ….. but it sounds good).  Or-Tum its a gradual shift to winter and an important factor in allowing people to relax in to winter and change their wardrobe gradually.

Instead we appear to have fallen off a cliff edge. From warm and sunny to cold and damp almost overnight.

I’m thinking of going to South East Asia and looking for one of the Indian summers I’ve heard about.

I’m sorry to have returned to the subject of weather - but I am a British dog after all.
