139 Annie Versary

TOWTSH had something called s ‘birthday’ this week.  This seemed to be a jolly time with lots of food and drink, greetings cards from friends and family, and even presents from some.  TOWTSH and TOWTLH even went out for lunch together - a rare event.

When I’d finally put all the pieces together, it seems as though a birthday is just a device for celebrating someone called Annie Versary - whoever she was.

I even found out how many birthdays TOWTSH has had.  It seems he must have been around at the time of the dinosaurs - or at least the ancient Romans - my knowledge of the earth’s chronology is somewhat limited.

Then something hit me. I believe I am 7 years old - so I must have had birthdays (7 of them presumably).  I don’t remember any great celebration for any of them - no parties, no feasts, no special outings.

As ever, its one rule for human beans, and one (different) rule for dogs.

I need to organise a protest movement - perhaps sticking myself to the surface of Street Lane and causing traffic havoc.

Actually, that sounds like hard work and complex thinking and planning.

My ‘planning horizon’ is only about two hours - from one meal to the next.  So, cancel the protest movement.

Let’s go and find a biscuit
