150: Car Shower

You know by now that I find many things that humans do rather puzzling and strange.

Yesterday, TOWTLH gave his car a shower.  He got a hosepipe and sprayed water all over the car, whilst simultaneously wiping it with a brush. It was a bit like when they shower me …. the difference is that the car doesn’t fight back.

Upon listening carefully for the next couple of days I found out why this had happened.

You may know that a couple of months ago, TOWTLH managed to hit an invisible lamp-post. Evidently he was parking the car when the lamp-post materialised and dared him to hit it.  He  did - hit it.  After weeks of waiting, negotiating and being frustrated by incompetence and delay, the car is going on holiday next week - to be repaired.

TOWTLH dod not want the repairers to think the car was unloved snd uncared for, so he cleaned it.

(There are still a couple of days to go before the car goes to the repairer.  I think he is perfectly capable of dirtying it before then.)

And the pup (Phil)  has offered to help him by borrowing their car and running it on wet roads and through mud.
