161: Where’s Woody

My beans have 2 pups.  One of them (of the female variety) has a pup herself.  He is called Woody and is what in the human trade they call a teenager.  This means he does not communicate with other humans except for his ‘mates’ and except via online methods.  When asked a direct question, he grunts a terse answer so he can get swiftly back to playing his online game.

However, he seems to have disappeared.   Nobody told me he was leaving so I had my suspicions as to what had happened. 

Then, of course, I started to hear snatches of telephone calls and in-person conversations between my beans and the rest of the family.

It seems he was sent away to a far, distant land - called Crete.  I suspect he went to learn English (so he could graduate from teenage grunting) or how to act in social situations  …. only time will tell.  

I heard today that he is returning today - via a big, silver bird.

Will he have changed?  Will he like me?Will he be cruel? Will he talk?

His first visit is likely to be exciting … but scary.
