162: I’m Sick of It
You may know that spaniels in general - and me in particular - are obsessed with food. We take every opportunity to eat. If we can’t eat because no food is available, we search endlessly for anything that approximates to food.
I have been known to eat soil from people’s gardens to sift out vague crumbs of something that has been dropped there in the past. Similarly, I will lick ‘blobs’ on pavements ands road surfaces to see if they contain food.
Of course, this sometimes gets me into trouble.
I have been known to be sick as a result of eating or licking something inappropriate.
In fact it happened this week.
During the night of Thursday-Friday, I was sick on more then one occasion (and more than one carpet) after eating a particularly tasty bit of soil on my last walk of the evening. Not only was I sick, my other end also discharged its contents.
My poor beans came downstairs in the morning to several piles and pools of foul smelling, ugly-looking semi-liquid which took quite a while to cleanup.
If anyone want s a dog to support/promote the cleaning efficacy of VANISH carpet cleaner, then I’m your dog. It does a great job of getting rid of the sight and smells of doggy discharge. It’s like magic. It’s almost worth making the mess to see how quickly and effectively it can be cleaned up.
Sorry, I have to go now. I’m feeling a little queasy.
