76: Eye-Opener

I have been having treatment for many months for an affliction called ‘dry eye’ - evidently one of my tear ducts is not working properly and doesn’t fully lubricate my eye.  This could cause sight problems later in my life.

So, I have an ointment put in my eye twice a day to try and stimulate the tear duct and then drops four times a day to lubricate the eye.

This is not very pleasant!

I went to the vet a couple of weeks ago for a checkup and the vet said she would change my medication as the current one wasn’t working very effectively.

“Hurrah!” thought I.  “This must be better.”

But what I got was some gel rather than the drops - but again, to be applied four times a day.

I might need this for the rest of my life.

Its a dog’s life.
