256: Stupid
Human beans often talk, write and generally communicate in confusing ways. They do not, I assume, do this deliberately, nor do they do it out of malice. It seems as though sometimes they have ‘temporary cognitive impairment’ which renders them unable to think clearly.
Perhaps they are ill; perhaps they are just tired. For a very small number of them, perhaps they are just stupid. (I’m not sure that I am allowed to call people ‘stupid’, which is why we end up using phrases like having temporary cognitive impairment - which just means temporarily acting in a stupid way.
Take my beans. Last week they took me to the groomers and I’ve been groomed within an inch of my life!
Look at the calendar. It is the start of March. Though cold weather might have receded for a few days it will be back. After all, this is England where it might snow in April or May. It is certainly not Summer. Spring is making a poor attempt to break through.
So, taking a dog to be groomed at this time of year is stupid …. and cruel. I have to go through life for the next couple of months in fear of hypothermia - and acute embarrassment.
I would like to say that my beans have temporary cognitive impairment but those of you who read this blog regularly will know that the word ‘temporary’ is hard to justify. They just seem to be naturally stupid.
