30: Sound Asleep

I talked recently about technology.  I have now reflected and have some additional comments.

I sleep a lot.  I think most dogs do - except for the small number of truly ‘working dogs’.

I believe that human beans have developed a process whereby you can play sounds to extend your knowledge as you sleep ... and these days, of course, there are lots of very small devices that can play those sounds.  It is perfectly feasible to build a dog bed with integrated speakers.  These could play soothing music in stressful times - such as when owners are out at work.   However, they could also play self-improvement and educational programming to create knowledgeable ‘superdogs’.

I would be willing to participate in an experiment to see how far this could go but I know that TOWTSH is so lazy and lacks so many practical skills that, for me, this will remain a ‘pipe dream’.

Currently, while I am sleeping, I get fed an audio diet of mind-rotting TV programmes (think ‘Homes Under The Hammer’) and music that is several decades old.

It is frustrating  to be a dog that wants to innovate but can’t get the staff to  turn dreams into reality!
