32: Sympathy

The grapevine (the most effective communication network there is) tells me that Rowley, a neighbouring dog, has been injured and needs an operation.

I wish him well. I recently went through an operation myself.  I was very brave; I didn’t complain, I recovered well - and quickly.

But some dogs, like me, have natural resilience (to go along within my natural charm, of course). I don’t know Rowley well enough to judge. His beans are decent, dog-loving people (they have three dogs) so he should be fine.

I am not sure when the operation is scheduled (possibly when his beans have saved the vast amount of money to pay for the operation) so I am saying now “Good luck and speedy recovery”.

Apart from this shocking news, this has been a ‘slow news week’ - though this hasn’t stopped the news networks from rolling for 24 hours each day, of course.

Hopefully next week will bring something better than injured dogs, fake elections, global pandemic and so on. We can but hope.

At least we should see the arrival of Maxine. The papers have been very excited about het …. but there must be something wrong with her, as well, because all the news bulletins say she has to be thoroughly tested to make sure she’s safe.

Whatever the news, rest assured that I will be here to comment and interpret for you.
