66: Baby, Its Cold Outside

My new sleek, short coat may look good to some but why couldn’t my beans have waited until the weather had got consistently warmer. At the moment, I’m fine if the sun is out but when it goes in, I’m like a  human bean outside without a coat.

They haven’t even upped my food intake to give me more calories to fight the cold.

I did think of consulting a solicitor to see if I can sue my beans for cruelty or neglect.  Unfortunately, my research suggests that it is rare for members of the legal profession to take the side of a dog in a case versus humans.  It seems that we can’t pay them as well. I did find a solicitor who did ‘pro bono’ work but when I offered him a bone to act for me, he just laughed and said that’s not what ‘pro bono’ means. It seems as though my Latin isn’t up to the level I need to become a successful litigant.  Perhaps next time, I’ll just ask Brian (out neighbourhood lawyer) for advice.
